The American people deserve to know that members of Congress are working for them, not for our own pocketbooks.

It’s far past time to ban Congressional stock trading. I'm proud to be co-leading the bipartisan Restore Trust in Congress Act to do just that.

On this date & the following day in 1846–Virginia held a referendum on the retrocession of their former territory—out of then-square DC, seceding back to Virginia

Arlington wisely voted no. Alexandria (sadly then home to an intense trade in enslaved people at its port) voted yes

It should be illegal for TV antennas to be marketed with a "range". TV antennas don't have "range," they only receive and whether or not they can receive a signal is a function of the transmitter's power and antenna height above ground (line of sight). This is just taking advantage of ignorance.

SCOOP — Members of DC National Guard are preparing to carry M17 pistols, multiple sources confirm to me.

This follows earlier reports that the guard reversed course and would soon be arming members in DC. Now we know they’re making sure they meet requirements if/when the order to arm them comes.

President Trump’s federal takeover of D.C.’s local police is unprecedented. “The last person who asserted the authority to use military personnel for routine law enforcement anywhere in the country for any reason was King George,” a legal scholar said.

The DC resistance isn’t manifesting this week as recognizable members of Congress marching up and down Pennsylvania Avenue with CNN cameras in tow, but as an array of ordinary DC residents documenting what’s happening in their neighborhoods and mobilizing pop-up actions.
The resistance is active in DC—you’re just not looking closely enough
It's not massive protests on Pennsylvania Avenue, but happenstance hecklers and Nextdoor posts.
