Neither of my parents went to college. My mom was worried about me, so she got me a job learning how to lay carpet.
I didn't last long there. Lol
On the flip side, I started taking college classes at night my jr year in HS, then dropped out to go to Pitt my Sr yr.

Some kids are just not a fit for college Mark. I chose the trades over college much to the disappointment of my parents. I knew nothing of HVAC but it gave me a challenge to find solutions. Equipment now is changing everyday. It's not just carrying a tool bag. It's building automation and much more

I have so many thoughts after watching the HBO doc but first and foremost is how incredible, after all these years, that JD and Steve prominently feature in a doc of a genre THEY created. It was lovely.
Yes, this Youtube playlist by @wingnoit.bsky.social contains all the officially certified yacht rock songs that are not available on Spotify (although I hope it's all still intact with the infuriating demise of the West Coast 99 channel)
