Did the climate world misread Carney?
Many in the climate movement saw a fellow traveller in Mark Carney — the man who could preach climate action in the language of finance — but what if they were wrong from the very start?

Unprecedented drought in Iran: What is happening, and why?

The #ClimateCrisis makes every storm event more likely, and worse.

More likely, and worse.

It’s fuelling EVERY storm.

What we're witnessing with #Melissa is ultra rare in the history of known hurricanes in the Atlantic. This level of sustained intensity and feasting on every joule of ocean heat content without any real disruption is incredible.

Not hyperbole: Jamaica is facing a generational catastrophic event.

Not all environmental issues should be seen through the lens of CO₂. While coral death could increase ocean CO₂ uptake—since calcification releases CO₂ and dissolution releases alkalinity and allows the ocean to take up CO₂—reefs are vital for biodiversity, food, coastal protection, and livelihoods.
Coral reefs are at a tipping point after surging global temperatures
