WilmerHale not caving, according to @wsj.com:

“WilmerHale said it has a ‘longstanding tradition of representing a wide range of clients, including in matters against administrations of both parties’ and that it looked forward to ‘pursuing all appropriate remedies to this unlawful order.’”
Trump’s latest law firm target?

Wilmer Hale.

If you (law firm) won’t stand up for yourself against the government, why would a client trust you to stand up for them?
Do you get it yet, law firms?

What’s happening isn’t an isolated threat to Paul Weiss or Covington or Perkins Coie.

It’s an existential threat to the independence of the legal profession.

You’re a fool if you think you won’t be next.

Say something. Do something.

Former President Jimmy Carter was the living embodiment of "servant leadership".

He lived his faith, daily.

He fed the hungry, housed the homeless & healed the sick.

Being an evangelical Christian is neither a guarantee of being a good person, nor a bar to it.

May his memory be for a blessing.

One of my favorite lines in Return of the King is during the scouring of the Shire, when Frodo expresses alarm at the idea of taking action . Merry says, "You won't rescue Lotho, or the Shire, just by being shocked and sad, my dear Frodo"

Resonates a lot these days.

If you email me about a non-urgent matter, and then immediately ping me on Teams to ask if I’ve seen your email, you are waaay too needy.

When you are way past the time to board, and the gate agent has been saying for the last 45 min “we are cleaning the plane,” it makes me worried about what exactly they are having to clean up

Nothing like that feeling of swearing to your wife that you can fix the leaky outdoor faucet and then having to call the plumber to remedy your mistake

Apparently I made a super loud sigh of relief when I figured out that the Carolina-Dook game tips off 15 min before my flight home from spring break departs, but my Delta flight will have live ESPN and I should be good. Also been warned that I have to behave and I can’t get us kicked off the plane

Folks, the number isn't 350M

There's also pre-judgment interest running at 9% (simple) per year from the dates of the various frauds.

Just did a quick calculation where I rounded things off to the nearest year. With interest, it's roughly $458,716,000
