My understanding is that Khalil is still inside and has a lawyer present with him as they work to get the documents required to facilitate release.

So glad he’s still alive.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia—like everyone else renditioned to this torture prison—needs to come home immediately.
I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance. I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return.

Mahmoud Khalil was a breaking point, the vertex of so many contradictions.

Now, Mohsen Mahdawi presents one more chance for all of us in this country to look at each other, and to know this is not what we choose to be part of.

There is nothing to be done in this moment except everything.
The Trump admin has just detained Mohsen Mahdawi, who:
–has green card
–was Columbia Buddhist club president
–saw his best friend shot & killed by Israeli soldier
–said "we are against antisemitism because antisemitism is a form of injustice, and injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

This is so deeply evil. Trump and his admin illegally moved him to Louisiana so they can shop for a judge and get this verdict. The precedent set here is one where *anyone* can be disappeared. Remember, the admin said multiple times they do not believe Khalil committed any crimes
