If you're new to Linux gaming this holiday season, consider checking out the project "LSFG-VK". Brings highly customizable frame generation to (AFAIK?) any GPU, and has worked very well on the 12 games I've tried so far. Didn't have good luck w/ it inside Gamescope (but not explicitly supported).
