I switched to Linux full-time in 2021.
At first, I was frustrated by how "involved" it all was. But, after forcing myself to be patient and learn, I've come to admire the involvement. It gives me much greater flexibility to configure, mod, or fix however I want.

But it was immensely gratifying to solve this super unique-to-me problem. Every other solution for this is Windows-only and do not work in WINE. So I was able to fix something that would've been hopeless just two years ago. Pretty wild.

FIX: EA games on Steam won't launch with Arch + Hyprland
Have worked on this for 6mos. Seems that the EA helper apps can't open local ports to chatter when your NIC is on DHCP (oof).
Go to /etc/systemd/network and sudo edit 10-xxx.network. Replace DHCP with the addresses that DHCP would've given
