Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

“You do not have the authority to unilaterally declare any Americans or American institutions terrorist groups,” wrote Robert S. McCaw, the council’s director of government affairs. “Nor is there any basis to level this smear against our organization.”

Imagine being such a cretin. Smearing a man who was brutally murdered and dismembered. Another brazen example of the soullessness of Donald Trump.

Trump has done and said many outrageous things. This is on top of that list.

"Things happen." Exactly what Jesus would have said.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

If the Ken Burns Revolution series interests you, try Robert Middlekauf’s The Glorious Cause on the war itself and Alan Taylor’s American Colonies on the wider colonial era. Taylor also appears in the documentary.

The look on my students’ faces when they learn I hold more than a dozen AI certifications - and then realize I can tell which model they probably used to write their paper - is priceless. 😉😀

In my experience, the rise of AI has revealed a counterintuitive trend: students with average academic ability are often the ones who put in consistent work to develop their writing, while their higher-ability peers are more inclined to rely on AI as a shortcut.
