He would have told Visconti to fuck off if he were still alive, the director “didn’t give a fuck” about his feelings, adding: I’ve never seen so many fascists and assholes as there are in film and theatre. Luchino was the sort of cultural predator who would sacrifice anything or anyone for the work.

Two of the most powerful performances I’ve seen this year come from child actors in horror films. Just glad to see directors using the genre to explore a little deeper into childhood themes, moving past the one-note portrayals we've been stuck with for a long time.

How the White Savior Became This Year’s Cinematic Punchline
Several of this year's notable movies, including, One Battle After Another, Eddington, and The Mastermind humorously critique the political role of white men.

Werner Herzog has slammed the use of AI in new cinematic releases, saying that films that make use of the technology “look completely dead.”

“There are stories, but they have no soul. They are empty and soulless.”

Amen to that!

Sally Hawkins' range in BRING HER BACK is astounding, convincingly playing a comforting counselor one second, a ruthless monster or a grieving mother the next. It's such a precise, ever-fluctuating performance.

Was absolutely hypnotized by SIRĀT, Laxe's propulsive film, where life and death breathe as one, transported by the pulse of its trance.

It’s WEIRD how eager people are to ignore Brad Pitt’s allegations.
I wrote about how Brad Pitt has effectively albeit transparently used F1: The Movie and its press tour to rehabilitate his image, in order to obscure the violent allegations about abuse toward Angelina Jolie & his current estrangement from his six kids, @vulture.com. www.vulture.com/article/brad...
Brad Pitt Is Fooling You
The F1 press tour has been a carefully attuned charm offensive meant to obscure Pitt’s alleged violent behavior toward ex-wife Angelina Jolie.

Here’s a funny story.

When Eli Roth premiered “Cabin Fever” at TIFF, he put David Lynch’s name in the credits as Executive Producer without telling him.

David found out and asked to have the film screened.

He watched and then abruptly told Roth to take his name immediately off the film.
PSA that Eli Roth does not deserve your support, horror fans.
