There isn’t a thing in the world that could convince me that Toni Vernelli hasn’t taken “30 pieces of silver” for this shit

Drops about three times a week. No schedule, just a passion for independant music. "Hello, I’m Trevor, and this is episode one‑five‑nine of the Virtual Cassette Library. Today’s theme is Twist Fondest Waffle—which, as usual, is both the track you’re hearing underneath and a location you can find on a map, if you’re the sort who enjoys chasing coordinates on What3Words.

Just ran the numbers and it turns out that if you were to try to listen to 200 tapes end to end with no breaks, it would take you about 4 years. So we don’t know how @tabsout.bsky.social managed it, but somehow they did, and we are very excited to have STR tapes included among those.

Congratulations to Dr Peter J Woods on this prestigious and well deserved academic achievement!
With the constant attacks on academic research stretching across the globe, it is incredibly brave to nominate my tape, "Learning by Listening Vol. 9: Learning to Make Noise: Toward a Process Model of Artistic Practice within Experimental Music Scenes," as the best cassette of the year.

The Fisty Kendal album is maddeningly joyful all over the place electronica that doesn’t take itself too seriously- just what we need this year. And the Pains comp is so full of energy it makes you fall in love all over again.

The first Fisty Kendal album came out 10 years ago. It compiled tracks by Stephen Cousins from the previous 17 years. The cassette came with Zener cards

Proud to be on this label tbh
When you hear a Hans Zimmer score in a film, the feeling that the music evokes is that you are sitting on a sofa watching a movie.
