When I was little, the U.S. military came to our home at gunpoint and took me and my family away. We were imprisoned for years in barbed wire camps simply because we were Japanese American. I have spent my life telling that story, hoping it would never be repeated.

Kristi Noem’s staff asked TN Rep. Justin Jones to leave BNA ahead of her presser after being granted permission by BNA and the Secret Service to attend her event. Jones had intended to ask some hard hitting questions about recent ICE operations in his district, questions Noem meant to avoid.
In Nashville the Good Trouble action is Sat. July 19, joining forces with the Annual Rep John Lewis march. The march begins at 8am at the corner of Jefferson and Rosa Parks Blvd, ending at the Nashville Museum of African American Music followed by a sidewalk protest on Commerce. Hydrate, people!
