How wonderfully insular and selfish Johnson's Biblical concept of love is ... oh, wait. He's wrong. Jesus' message of love was that it was FOR ALL PEOPLE, and not just your neighbors and countrymen. His apostles pretty well proved that point in going out to the Gentiles with the Word.
