He was pretty solid in MASTERS OF THE AIR and is still relatively unknown so I am open to it.
Callum Turner has become the bookies favourite for next 007, the latest name in consideration for taking over the role from Daniel Craig.

Finally finished.

This is my 5th Stephen King book down. I never thought I’d ever appreciate his books in the way I do the movies adapting his work, but boy do I.

Off to read The Shining next.

It’s really bleak that a foreign government, especially one with a horrific record of human rights abuses and whose intel services likely were involved in 9/11 is able to scoop up a US company like this.
Saudi Fund [PIF] will own almost all of EA (93.4%) after buyout according to filing

Just got out of this. I genuinely think Ruben Fleischer killed it here. This is probably the next best in the series besides that second one. The new cast gels so well with the old crew of Franco, Eisenberg, Fisher and Caplan.

Writing a sequel to George Orwell's 1984 called "George Orwell's 1984 2: 1985". It picks up where the last book left off, this time we follow the returning protagonist, John 1984, as he navigates his new life as John 1985. And before you ask, yes, of course his lovable sidekick, Mittens, is back 😜

Every dollar JK Rowling makes from Harry Potter is going into bankrolling an extortion racket issuing legal threats to organizations across the UK to purge themselves of trans people or face ruinous lawfare.
i hope every single person who still buys harry potter merch or engages with that franchise is happy that they're literally making girl guides cry

girl guides uk have been forced very much against their will to exclude trans girls. full statement is here: www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-...

Steve Jablonsky’s score for Revenge of the Fallen was even better than the OST for the first one which also had a solid score
Defend a terrible film by picking something from it that saves it.

Since I haven’t seen anyone mention this: When the U.S. commits war crimes it puts our troops in danger also, as it gives a green light to other countries that they can do the same to us

Getting back to reading this now. I did this simultaneously with Salem’s Lot and now that I’ve wrapped that up, I can focus a bit more on it.

It was an incredible year for movie villains and we still got FNAF 2 which is sure to deliver another great performance from Lillard.

There is also an alternative reality where maybe even Frank Darabont got his hands on this instead of or after he was doing The Mist (2007). Guy was basically THE King whisperer when it came to speaking to and understanding the source material of a movie back in the day. Right up there with Reiner.
I also wish Mike Flanagan or Scott Derrickson would have directed the 2024 movie over Dauberman who has been unimpressive. His best work is still IT (2017) & that is only so because he was a co-writer.

He’s just so bland and/or surface level in most of the other things he writes or directs.

Finally finished reading Salem’s Lot and it was really, really good and I appreciate the intensity of the scares. Especially the way King writes the Glick abduction, Mark Ryerson in the cemetery and staking a vampire. It’s haunting and detailed.

Creating a military conflict with Venezuela gives this administration a legal "hook" to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. In other words, the foreign war is being manufactured in order to facilitate court deference for its domestic mass deportation policy. It's a Stephen Miller Special.

This was VERY good. Maybe better than the first go ‘round.

I feel like when it comes to doing Stephen King adaptations, JJ Abrams is someone who runs under appreciated in adapting and/or paying homage to King’s world with 11.22.63 and Castle Rock

National Guard aren’t ICE or Border Patrol. They didn’t sign up looking to harass and repress people. They’re volunteers, part time, in case of emergency. They didn’t ask for this.

West Virginia National Guard shouldn’t have been deployed in Washington DC.

Victims of the shooter and the president.

Stranger Things 5 was really, really good. Will never like the 3 parter way Netflix is doing it, but it’s so damn good despite that

They supposedly ended it by ***checks notes** massacring, raping, and enslaving women and children. But they did it very Christianly.
VP JD Vance stood before a crowd and tried to falsify history, claiming Christians ended widespread mass child-sacrifice practices among Native Americans

precisely my thought. the president and his dumbass republican allies put these men and women into harm’s way for a political stunt and look what has happened
Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

Have to say that it’s pretty impressive games like DCUO and SWTOR which both launched in ‘11 have lasted so long as they have. In a lot of other cases, games like these would probably have been yoinked offline by now because of the various changes BTS with parent companies, IP holders, et al.
