And mind you, Moore conceded this too and said as much when he stepped down. The world was changing again also & didn’t need the same kind of charming escapism Moore was giving in the 70s when everyone thought the world was ending because of the Cold War hitting a new pitch, econ instability, etc.

He’s grown on me heavily but I think he definitely overstayed his welcome and it REALLY showed in AVTAK. Nobody wanted to say it back then though because well, his run on Bond was still raking in lots of bank and did the unthinkable in beating out Connery in NSNA

Pretty big deal, given this Andy Napolitano who literally left Fox for Newsmax. Even back then he occasionally was a legal truth teller.

Heck, it wasn’t fully there for my gen either. There was still some minor stigma about openly loving this stuff past a certain age and other mediums not taking it seriously, i.e. film and TV.

We take a lot for granted.

If only we had strong-willed, principled and genuinely patriotic people in government who valued the working class, human rights, and weren’t in the pockets of these same blood-soaked regimes. They’d do everything in their power to prevent this and every awful thing that’ll come of it.

Yeah, it’s been well known. They weren’t the lead studio though so how this ends up impacting whether Fable releases on schedule next year is TBD.

Heck, look at what Cameron has said too about other filmmakers like Snyder or what he said about AI today. He’s a principled person who believes in art, artists and the deeply personal/human aspects of it.

They’re a step up from what Spike used to do. A lot of people complaining about TGAs seem to ignore that because they’ve either forgotten or had the privilege of being too young to remember.
