Call me when genAI/AI is at the very least not making the environment worse (preferably cleaner than current tech), isn't built on stolen data, isn't a privacy/labor/housing/medical nightmare, isn't being weaponized, and is actually useful instead of accurate largely by chance. Until then, fuck off.

China has a less resource-reliant genAI called Deepseek that it's giving out for free and is lean enough to run locally on your phone without needing a bunch of Nvidia processors to drive their stock up and it works about as well as OpenAI's o1 which is $200/mo lol

EXACTLY. I told both my NY senators that I expect them to vote against EVERY SINGLE Trump nominee. I don't think that's unreasonable given the stakes.
I’m in NY too, called Schumer and Gillibrand for these same things. Also asked them to PLEASE be the opposition party!!!
