1/ This Sonder-Marriott divorce is an absolute joke on all sides. Literally tossing guests out into the street isn’t cute or laughable. At some point you act like adults and take care of guests. It’s passive aggressive toddler level immaturity.

I can deal with most kinds of dumb. The “knows just enough to be a menace while not knowing any better or caring” bunch or the ones who will argue 2+2 equals 7 are the true problem children.

1/ With everything going on with respect to gambling in sports I keep going back to conversations I had with a guy who worked at one of the mega casinos who knew of at least a dozen high profile games that were fixed including at least one championship game in the 80s (every major team sport btw).

Was busy yesterday (my weekends have been eaten alive since the summer) but I did drive by the No Kings rally in my city and give them a honk of encouragement. Pleasantly surprised how many people showed up. Unfortunately shitty adult stuff has occupied things way too much.

Not sure who needs to hear this but when you hire people you’re required to verify their credentials and that they can legally work in the country. E-verify has been around for 20+ years. It mandates penalties for violating its provisions. So anyone working at a job has been vetted and verified.
