There was no point in time when those red lines were a good idea. They've held the UK back, throttled business and made the UK appear massively xenophobic.

Whoever advised Starmer Labour to go for those red lines should be kicked out of politics for life. This won't happen.

As soon as the racist bunting went up and St George crosses were being daubed everywhere, we knew. This was a far-right funded migrant-intimidation campaign, pretending to be about national pride.
Never felt less proud. And many have never felt less safe. Disgusting of politicians to endorse it.
Nigel Farage said that the 'Raise the Colours' campaign was a "grassroots movement driven by ordinary people”.

Kemi Badenoch said they should be "welcomed" as a symbol of "unity"

Now the campaign has pivoted to racially abusing migrants and intimidating charity workers on the beaches of France

Far-right activists were seen stabbing dinghies and releasing dogs to intimidate migrants and aid workers

Anyone notice that Speaker Johnson subtly dismissed Congress today so that they won't be in session on Friday?

Hmmm, anything big set to happen on Friday that might upset people?

Reform tried to dismiss questions on Farage’s racism, saying they should be asked about the ‘substance’ of their policies instead.
Unsurprisingly, their policies are shit too.

The party’s astonishingly speedy growth disguised shallow roots – and its success has brought a level of scrutiny for which it simply isn’t ready, says Guardian columnist Gaby Hinsliff

This is utterly pathetic and SO WRONG!

Unless Labour gets Brexit undone - starting with rejoining the SM & CU, it is DEAD, stone cold DEAD!

I just can't get over the fact that the guy who gave this quote is 45. It would be embarrassing for all involved if this quote came from the *current* under-14 chess champion, but from an adult...I worry I've ruptured something from cringing so hard.
Truly shocking that Rachel Reeves had the audacity to call herself the U14 girls chess champions when she won the U14 girls chess championship but some bloke thought she was talking about something else.

Kemi Badenoch just sees #PMQs as a big laugh, totally removed from the harsh realities that many people face in Britain today. She isn’t a serious politician and the Tories aren’t a serious political party. The role of the Official Opposition is a serious one. The Tories aren’t fit for purpose.

Without rejoining the EU we will become poorer and poorer. Many of the things we have taken for granted will simply vanish. How bad will it have to get before people say enough is enough, and stop voting for parties that aren’t committed to rejoining the EU?

“Conservatives have failed and Labour will fail too…
We are ruled by an out of touch political class who have turned their backs on our country.
Reform is the alternative”

Where ‘alternative’ = exactly the same stitch-up and failure inflicted by the same wealthy elite.

Brexit was exactly that. A petulant door-slamming. A rejection of cooperation, protection and opportunity for all of us because the wealthy rightwing elites didn’t want to play by shared rules. And knew they could exploit ignorance/prejudice to achieve that.
