Not sure how many people realize that battery storage already supplies 30% of California’s electricity demand at peak.

Batteries aren’t the future — they’re here now.

Surprised I got a post on Blue Sky to pop off
People shouldn't act like affluent college educated suburban Republicans are somehow more moderate than Republican voters as a whole, it might been true back in 2012, but not now
Yep it's not an education thing. Highly educated Republicans are *more* likely to be climate deniers than less educated Republicans.

It's conservative ideology and far right media.

Also if non white voters aren't actually a monolith for Dems, then we should pay more attention towards class voting as a whole, not just whites, also you can split up white voters by different religious sects
I think the 2008 data is off since Romney did noticeably better in affluent white precincts, and didn't do that much better in a lot of poor white areas
Presidential vote among whites shows continued income polarization (data from @electionstudies.bsky.social's 2024 timeseries), with income negatively correlated to GOP presidential vote.

Mamdani is the greatest campaigner of the modern era. I have some skepticism about his policies, but you can't deny that he's managed to break into both highly educated liberal and low info voter spaces. If he was 10% less Muslim/socialist he'd be a future president (and maybe despite that...).

The 2025 NY Special election in NY SD-22, a contest between Dem Sephardic community leader Sam Sutton and GOP Attorney Nachman Carl Caller following the resignation of Simcha Felder to take a seat on the New York City Council proved an easy hold for Dems in this Orthodox seat

Tricia Cotham made national news when she switched from the Dems to the GOP in 2023, handing the North Carolina GOP a supermajority and receiving a favorable district in redistricting.

Her #HD105 did flip from Trump to Harris, but she held on and won re-election by 200 votes.
