Over the years, fans have asked why I depicted Fitz wielding a sword on the cover when his weapon of choice throughout the book was an axe. 1/4
Standing on a broken, partially uprooted tree trunk, a man throws his arms wide and his head back with eyes closed. He holds a straight sword so the tip pierces the fat crescent of moon looming overhead in the lavender sky. His tunic is open to expose his chest. The fabric billows as the breeze catches it, and the tails of a red sash flutter. One sleeve is in tatters as are the lower legs of his pants. I finished it! By far my most insane fan project: A (hopefully) complete Farseer Family Tree from Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings.
I can sleep now.
an illustrated family tree of the Farseer royal family from Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings books. There are approximately 5 generations of Farseers from King Bounty Farseer, down to Princess Bee Farseer, his great-great-granddaughter. Lines connect characters, varying from "legitimate" parentage, to bastards, to adoption/fostering. The Royal line is picked out in gold, from King Bounty down to his great-great-grandson, King Dutiful Farseer.
