I like the government pivot to reminding voters that Farage is an avowed enemy of NATO & Europe & an ardent admirer of Vladimir Putin, who routinely orders the murders of critics & opponents. It is politically effective & morally essential.

This is interesting via @cmooreanderson.bsky.social. I think the very premise of some kind of 'correct' curriculum sequence is flawed and it's problematic that @ofstednews.bsky.social seem to believe such a thing exists. The answer to so many of these questions lies in giving learners more agency.
New on Substack: New post: Why does dividing curriculum into knowledge components feel so unstable? Because we're imposing localist structure on a distributed system. The brain doesn't store knowledge in pieces. profbeckyallen.substack.com/p/curriculum...

We have to understand the link between the SEND Review and the curriculum review. A developmentally appropriate Primary curriculum built from EYFS up is essential to help us meet needs - we can’t be all things to all people - but doing curriculum properly now will support inclusion.

While there is justified outrage about Mandelson, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor &others, the relentless media focus on Keir Starmer (who was NOT mentioned in any Epstein file) is overdone.
By contrast, no focus on Farage who WAS mentioned (and who, BTW, applauded the appointment of Mandelson)…

Reform’s by-election candidate suggested people who don’t have children should pay more tax.

He wants the govt to “remove personal income tax for women who have two or more children”.

Do they think women are just baby producing machines?

Insane policies.

This is very true (except in early years). We would do well to consider why children go increasingly from movement to being static the older they get within the education system.
