PM update- many more National Guard + vehicles (I saw six) at 6 pm, and half a dozen federal police vehicles too. The taxi drivers who threaten pedestrians in the Union Station crosswalk, who imo represent the greatest danger to me personally on my commute, seem to be unaffected
National Guard deployed around Union Station with hummers parked on the grass during my commute. Heavy uniforms with gloves, app says it feels like 99 degrees there, and it’ll get much hotter. Per CNN the White House says they’re ordered not to make arrests. Just standing there baking in the sun

Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, a 39-year-old Utah resident, died Saturday night after being shot during Salt Lake City’s “No Kings” protest.

Police said a member of a peacekeeping team fired shots trying to contain a man pointing a rifle at demonstrators, hitting Folasa Ah Loo.
