Alex Pretti was a great American.

The people defending his killers are not.

Pens now 8th in the NHL's overall standings. They haven't been this high in standings on Jan. 25 since the 2021-22 season, when they were fifth. Last season, they were 26th.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have swept the Northwest.

Weather permitting, I hope the fans fill the barn this week. They deserve it, and so do we.

Gunther Eagleman sounds like the name Peter Griffin wanted his son to call him after finding out his schlong was smaller than his.

Probably the case here too, minus the comedic intent.
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

The Penguins are winning ganes and Ben Kindel is just NOW back to the scoresheet?

I'm still upset that @ryankearns.bsky.social beat me to nicknaming them Maroon 4.

That brilliant line and many others await in this review of "The Fourth World" by Kara's Flowers on this week's @ttheylisten.bsky.social episode! Click the link to check it out!
This week, Matt and Ryan review the 1997 album The Fourth World by Kara’s Flowers—the band that would later become Maroon 5. Working with famed producer Rob Cavallo, the group crafted a unique blend of pop, rock, and punk. Tune in to hear what the guys have to say!

Can't wait for a player to get fined for putting that on his shoes and proving that there are at minimum 33 fascists involved with the NFL!
Can’t wait to see those flags half staff at today’s NFL games in memory of the ICE/trump-vance admin murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti 🫡

Glad it's snowing this morning, if for no other reason than it proves that someone (the meteorologist, the weather data model makers) ended up telling the truth.

And to clarify, when I say the public doesn't have the means:

Most of us have normal lives. Most of us have jobs, bills, loved ones, etc. that we probably don't want to sacrifice by going into combat with these hired assassins.

So that's why we protest by acknowledging truth and protesting lies.
And that's the shining light of hope I have in all of this.

Public opinion DOES matter. It may not matter to them, but their naked lying will not be met with any type of true conceding.

We the public may not have the means to stop them, but we will never admit that their lies are the truth.
The shamelessness is the point. We know she's lying. She knows she's lying. If she were trying to convince the public, that would be admitting that public opinion matters.

This is a performance of dominance.

This is "truth is what we say it is."

This is "you'll believe what we tell you."

Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"

Beyond the obvious need for tribunals for the crimes Noem and others have committed and enabled, bringing shame back seems fundamental to the enterprise of rebuilding this country. No society can survive without a general understanding that this kind of shameless lying is unacceptable.
