we had to do the whole 'concentration camps and death camps are different and concentration camps are *very very bad*' thing eight years ago with the mass detention of Uighurs. discourse just keeps depressingly repeating.
I would love to have a discussion with Jake Tapper about the history of the term "concentration camp" and its usage. It would do so much good if he would actually address this head on.
