i genuinely understand why people think shmups and touhou are all about rote memorization i just wish i could communicate how deeply untrue that is. once you learn a stage well enough you can improvise in these strange, beautiful ways you would have never thought possible

I'm say this right now: Please get this game. It has a lot of unique mechanics that are odd at first, but figuring them out is satisfying. The combat, exploration, music, and overall gameplay is superb. If you're tired of RPG's holding your hand and want something challenging: This game is for you.
With old-school sensibilities but new-school polish, Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven was out 1 year ago (2024)! 🧜♀️ A fantastic remake of the 1993 title of everyone's favourite non-linear RPG series (–you'll either love or hate that aspect).

Swedish actor Björn Andréson (Death in Venice, Midsommar) has passed away. Though not specifically tied to gaming, he was an incredibly popular model for several decades worth of games and anime in Japan! Indeed inspiring Alucard, Griffith, and SMT Louis Cypher and many more. RIP.
