I talked about this with my father (not about Scurll but generally) and he is also like "i don't let that bother me, I dont care if im doing something that's impolite because it's impolite to them not me" and that's just a wrong mindset.
Everyone can be made right someday, if that day comes.

In the end of it all, Scurll did not and has not truly atoned his actions to this day. Hangman knows Scurll is not a perfect man (none of us are) and chooses to still be friends with him because... wouldn't you want someone with you now that everyone hates you?

It's because at some point one day the wrongdoer can actually do a soul search on themselves on what they did wrong and completely rehabilitate themselves. Take the Briscoes for example. They were HATED and blackballed.
Today, they're both loved.
