Wow, what a read. If you love a suburban horror, this is right up your alley.
It is queer, and POC centered, always refreshing to find in horror

I figure somebody needs a queer Santa hat to wear and stir up the family Christmas 😆

And, because this platform is nice and doesn't punish us for self promotion, have a link:

This October remember that wearing pink doesn't offer breast exams to at-risk populations, but Planned Parenthood does.

I cannot say enough good things about this book, it is easily my favorite read of the year so far.
I expected it to be depressing, given the current state of things, but it was actually uplifting.
Like the author said: "once we know how the card trick works, we stop falling for it"

🏳️‍🌈Happy LGBTQIA+ history month!🏳️‍🌈

While we wait to see if our right to marry will be stripped away from us, I hope everyone -especially allies- will learn about our history, and support those of us who are still here however they can.

I can say very little about this book without spoiling the plot, so I'll just say it went PLACES, and I was happily buckled up for the ride the entire time.

It is not my job to "just push them left", it's your job to not vote for candidates who refuse to respect my basic human rights, simply because they're rude to a terrible politician and that amuses you.

All governor Newsom had to do was tweet like Trump and everyone forgot he's more than willing to throw trans people under the bus to attempt to further his political career.

Honestly, a really good article.

It's not just Fox News and MAGA that have made it hell for trans people in recent years.

It's some of the "liberal" news outlets and centrist publications that made this possible too.

A huge shout out to those still masking in public. I see you, i appreciate you 💙
It always makes me smile when someone buys one of these from my little shop.

I never read either prequel before this year, but I eventually got curious with all the chatter.
If you enjoyed the original trilogy, it is worth reading the prequels. Maybe especially now.

Apparently the best time to catch a horror movie in imax is 10AM on a Tuesday. My wife and I were totally alone in the theatre for a screening of The Conjuring Last Rites today.

My big problem with the phrase “granola fascism” is that granola is delicious as hell, granola does not deserve to be catching strays like this. “Raw milk fascism” is more appropriate. Thank you.

This one was quite a wait and well worth it. I don't come across many full cast recordings, but they're always a good time.

This was the perfect witchy book to get rolling with fall, and thank goodness it wasn't a revenge on an ex plot. There are entirely too many in this genre.

much easier to understand the sheer bloody intensity of the civil war when you have a good grasp on just how terrible slavery was.
"How bad slavery was" is worse. Much worse. Much worse than you think, much worse than you're taught, much worse than museums depict. Worse.

This one was really something. I knew a lot about Top Model and how cruel it all was (because much of it made it to air, the cruelty was the point), but wow, it was way worse behind the scenes.

When I started backyard birding I was given some great advice: you can spend your entire life fighting the squirrels, or you can just feed them, too.
Recently, I bought a platform feeder that is shaped like a porch swing and hung it near my bird feeders. It is a daily delight.
