So am I alone in thinking that the day after the election results Reform in all their manifestations will start a relentless 'the election was stolen/fraudulent' narrative?

In 1994 the Pet Shop Boys were invited to perform 'Go West' at the Brit Awards.

They agreed and brought with them 3 separate choirs of miners. Some of those miners had marched with the gay and lesbian members of LGSM in the 1980s. It is one of the great, near-lost music moments

Day 3.
Get up.
Check how many more MPs have announced they're standing down overnight.

They're going to be filling the candidate lists with people on work experience.

So a couple of days ago, after his most recent reversal on the Uni visa stuff, I did wonder whether we were at a point now where most of us just point & laugh when Sunak appears or speaks.

I think we can definitively say we're there now 😂😂

No, billionaires. Rawls’ Difference Principle says that society should make the WORST OFF as well off as possible. I know it’s not an easy read but if you put the effort in most people get it eventually.

Hello Bluesky followers!

At the moment I've been doing roughly the kind of posting I've always done in the Other Place, but is that working, or is there anything you would like to see more or less of?

Open to feedback and suggestions!

Yorkshire weirdies! Head to the already wonderful Ryedale Folk Museum this summer, it's got a brilliant - and huge - exhibition about witchcraft and folk magic running until November. Genuine witch posts, crystal balls, corn dollies, the lot. Plus an actual one-eyed cat that tries to weird you out.

Watching GBN "like being shouted at by the pub bore"

And "embodies a culture of complaint about a United Kingdom that is simultaneously exceptionally wonderful yet also utterly ruined."
An excellent and important read by @gavinesler.bsky.social about GB News, which is also, in part, hilariously funny.
"Farage seemed utterly thrown that someone religious would reference the Bible.“
