If y'all are going to transcribe do so accurately I just watched this and there is context missing. Shapiro says that referring to a tragic act as terrorism only serves to inflame the situation (paraphrasing). To which Newsom responded "yeah, that's fair." there is much more to the video beyond.
I appreciate the communication strategy from Gavin Newsom's office, which that it created a permission structure for Democrats to punch back in a way that seems to matter.
