Trump’s hesitation to talk about the Epstein stuff is baffling to me. The man has had zero qualms lying about everything else in his life, why not now? Obviously he’s been deflecting some, but not nearly as much as he normally does.

Hi @jessiegender.bsky.social ! I hugely enjoyed your video on "The Best Star Trek This Year Was… an Audio Drama". In the video you said you wanted to get more audio dramas, and I wanted to bring to your attention the number of queer and trans creators who are currently working in the medium!

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

Alright, I'm firmly in the Primary Them All camp. I wish I lived in a state where it mattered, but I'm in full support of anyone who primaries the current crop of democratic senators.

Alright nerds, are there any Star Wars books that focus on the metaphysical side of Jedi/Sith? Lightsabers are fun, but I’m more interested in exploring a more philosophical and/or spiritual aspect of the universe.

So the gov referring to immigrants as an all-consuming parasite is fucked up enough, but the in-universe solution for defeating the flood was a super weapon that wipes out all life, so like, what are you gunning for here?

One of these days a developer will make an RPG with shooting where a low character Guns skill will make shooting feel like Fallout 3, but a high character Guns skill will feel like Call of Duty.

So, let's talk AI for a second. 🧵 To be nuanced about it, I think that most jobs can benefit from using it to a tiny degree. Generative AI largely sucks, is leading people to turn off their brains rather than engage them further, and desperately needs to be strongly regulated.

Every once in a while I get a strong urge to start texting people like I've been sponsored.

"What do you want for lunch Hannah? I'm craving a tasty $6 Six-Inch Meal of the Day from Subway. We should make sure our restaurant is participating!"

Reddit is such an incredible resource at times. If Reddit says to jump, I go to r/jumping to find out what's the best way to jump and what shoes I should get to jump in

Something I'd be really interested in seeing is a re-release of the LotR movies with updated VFX. While groundbreaking for their time, some shots haven't aged as gracefully as others, and you can see a lot of the seams in the 4K release.

Everyday I'm more astounded by just how much of this administration is driven by cruelty towards anyone who isn't a straight white man.

Can I be honest and say that I don't care about canon when it comes to cross-medium stories? For example, the Halo show had issues, but diverging from the canon of the games wasn't one of them.

Genuinely agonized between picking an episode about Medieval BDSM or Apophatic Theology for my morning walk podcast listening, so that's where I'm at right now.

Most open-world games would be better if they were designed for a more traditional linear experience.
Okay, lets do this.

One like, one opinion that's not on politics.

Not that’s it’s my job to figure it out, but I don’t even know where to begin combatting against an ideology that succeeds not in spite of it rejecting truth, but because of it. How do you have any hope of convincing people that don’t believe in basic facts?

Playing through Bioshock Infinite, and it’s a great game, but it portrays the multiethnic working-class uprising as equally bad as the literal white supremacist society actively oppressing them and like, no? It has to be in the top 3 most misguided “both sides bad” takes I’ve ever seen.

NEW: Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000 donated to a political nonprofit she was affiliated with, records show.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.
