Topical elsewhere in my life: the "Paradox of Tolerance" is super easy to understand in terms of a fistfight.
Just because someone isn't looking for a fight [tolerance] doesn't mean they have to stand there and let some asshole who is looking for a fight hit them [be tolerant of intolerance].
