I’ve never liked TikTok from the very beginning, so I never used it and never even had an account. I have a few reasons for that. For example, shadow banning is way too easy there, especially if you’re overweight, disabled, or gay.

Some fear war or economic collapse. China, apparently, fears moral decay the most. Which suggests that, at its core, the real fear is losing control.

Isn’t the far right’s “we must unite in hard times” mindset strange? Like, we ruined the place we live in, caused chaos everywhere, but you should still support us anyway.

There’s nothing as exhausting and time-wasting as hustle culture. Like, “don’t just drink coffee at a chain, become a shareholder,” or “don’t use an iPhone, be a shareholder of Apple.” Shares have no taste, and you can’t FaceTime with a stock 😆

With the Industrial Revolution came the idea of locking women at home and then pushing them to shop, claiming that women “actually love shopping.” That’s ridiculous—anyone stuck at home would naturally buy things to make their space nicer.

Since joining this platform, I’ve gained many followers, including from the U.S., and followed lots of people. Some liked my posts or reached out. I didn’t know Alex personally, but he could’ve been one of them. His brutal killing truly saddened me.

Looking at global news these days really takes a strong mindset. First, keeping up with what’s happening in Ukraine and Palestine was already hard. Now, seeing people getting shot or rounded up off the streets in the U.S. demands even more mental strength.

When we were kids, hearing the wind howl, we’d crawl under a blanket, feeling half scared, half comforted. But as we grow up and start thinking about people, animals, and everything else left out in the cold, that feeling doesn’t seem so peaceful anymore.
