Budding artist.
Full-time student (not in art).
Taking the time to learn my craft(s), therefore commissions are open but will be drawn in a jauntily silly fashion.

I’ve been doing a #100HoursOfDrawing challenge inspired by @nerdforge.bsky.social

I’m only about 10 hours in, but I doodled this and was proud of it. All the lines are freehand, no ruler or straightedge used.

I was going for a Howl’s Moving Castle-type building but ended up with a robot head :)
I empathize with the Grapes because lately I, too, have been full of Wrath

Inside Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”: Judicial Silencing (Sec. 80121(h)). This might be the most authoritarian section in the entire 1,100+ page bill.

The bill is still a mess but this is a win. Thank you, America. They heard you. House Republicans have dropped the provision that would’ve sold off 500,000 acres of public land in Utah and Nevada.

I am really astounded at how calm everyone is about the GOP putting a 500 billion dollar cut for Medicare in the new tax bill.

Just caught myself thinking about getting to Home Depot when it opens so I can pick up a part and finish my home project before leaving for work.

I’ve also developed an ardent fervor for finding a good deal at Costco.

I’m turning into a middle aged, “elbow-grease” dad despite being 30 and a woman

I feel bad about my art (or lack thereof) pretty frequently so just know if you also feel bad about your own art, you’re not alone. Every single artist I know no matter how *amazing* they are still questions their skills, creativity, etc. The doubt means there’s growth and change and that’s okay.

Make art. Make bad art. Make queer art. Make stupid art. Make sublime art. Make art of a chicken quesadilla meal. Your art has value no shareholder can touch.
So what? The literary world is always in the first detonation blast zone. Run towards the searing light. You don't want to live in the world without the arts. Become a writer.

This is how you become a writer: just pick one of the things that is deeply wrong with you. Make it a character. Now send it on a self-help journey or try to kill it. Now call it a book.

Some people seem to think that if ChatGPT use corrupts the next generation’s ability to read and think, then those of us who are older and literate will benefit more from actually having those skills. With the awareness that we live in a society, I actually don’t think this will go well for anyone
