Can the party drug ketamine be a mental health breakthrough? It was for me | CNN
Known more for its use as party drug, ketamine can provide a lifeline for people experiencing distressing mental health symptoms.

This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

"today there has been a recurring theme, and that theme....is the police" is something I just heard on the news, who talks like that? (You get one guess)

Had to stop my inner New Yorker coming out yesterday when I almost yelled at a car while crossing the road. The kind of thing they section you for in London but in NY people might clap or join in

It's 11pm

I'm in bed thinking about smart motorways

We are not the same

Did you know that burrata is basically a cream dumpling of mozzarella?

I thought it was an entirely different cheese?

Could you imagine the ONS every year or so just shutting down the entire website due to a "lapse of funding"?

The Panama Papers was really weird because it's all I heard journalists talk about for a while but I never heard ordinary people mention them, it was a tremendous amount of work but it didn't cut through

Probably because it wasn't really revelatory? - a cynical person would fully expect that
remember when the panama papers came out and we found out every rich person on earth was committing tax fraud and then nothing happened

If you want to know how things stick with you from childhood, every time I think of the IRS I remember this whole subplot

I want everyone who has spent years in therapy wondering what is wrong with them, wondering why they had so many bad relationships, why they felt so much dread, to know that it was in part because you were living in a world run by evil, evil people and you could tell that somewhere deep down

No Other Choice was good but about 45 mins too long?

My big task for today was to file my US taxes, can't do it because the whole thing is so unfathomably complicated.

That $150 check that NY State sent to my address in London? Taxable. Damned if I know how to declare it on my federal taxes.

I think it would be so revelatory having a camera in my car because I literally just realised that I had actually said this out loud:
What are you doing?.... What are you ...are you going? What are you do-oh, you're going there, would've helped if you'd indicated but yeah thanks have a nice day

Have I raved about how good keratin hair treatments are? I cannot remember BUT my hair is so soft, it dries (more or less straight) in 5 mins, is super shiny, looks great and is extremely easy to manage.

Cons are: it's expensive

We booked tickets months before her appearance was announced, so I had no idea she'd be in it but Mel Giedroyc is an absolute delight in HMS Pinafore

I'm in a nice ish Italian restaurant and the woman at the door basically didn't want to let me in?

I have a jumper and a rucksack with me but I don't think I look THAT rough? SORRY I have a JOB and I need to take my LAPTOP into the OFFICE.

Ok so I have just been reminded of the best museum (collection?) I've ever been to. It's in western Canada. In the 50s this artist decided to make cement sculptures of animals and cartoons and she bought some land where she could put them on display.

It's all very charming, except...

Grief is seeing a small mess in a weird location that was made only because you had a cat, and not wanting to clean it up because every time you see it, it reminds you of him. And you don't want to forget him or how much you loved him. 💔

My mum: where have you put (taxidermied mouse)?
Me: oh just on the kitchen surface*. But I guess I should move it because I might have viewings soon?
My mum: yes, put it in your bedroom!
Me: oh right so when people come in they go "oh cool this crazy woman sleeps with a dead mouse next to her"!?
