Gamedev designer/writer/director - Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Pajama Sam, Sam & Max, Wolf Among Us, etc. Most recently, Return to Monkey Island! Currently fiddling around with a game about paper. Halloween-liker, food-maker, dad.
Very grateful for @theonion.com these days. Possibly the only thing keeping me sane.

There are in fact puns for every orientation! Vampire Therapist is a game about honest, radical acceptance of ourselves as we are. That means juvenile sex jokes masking the highbrow psycho-social stuff. 😁
Vampire Therapist is an unexpectedly enlightening and enriching experience couched in a game about an admittedly funny premise full of gay sex puns and I'm absolutely in love with it.

Back when I used to try new things I tried this and it might be a big part of the reason I no longer try new things
One time in college I was obliged to drink a Hubba Bubba soda and it was exactly like if someone chewed up an entire package of the gum in their mouth, drooled the resulting saliva into a glass and carbonated it

I bumped into Bobby McFerrin in a lunchroom and we had a conversation about the finer points of adding cranberry juice to your lemonade.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Pajama Sam doesn’t usually get much attention because it’s, you know, “for kids.” But no longer!
It's here!

I was lucky enough to sit down with game developer @thatdave.bsky.social , writer of Pajama Sam and veteran of Telltale Games and LucasArts, to play through and chat about Pajama Sam!

Humongous Entertainment fans and veterans, this is for you! ❤️ Thank you all!

Thank you @nico-sterneck.bsky.social for letting me change "direction" and "speed" to satisfy my need for chaos.

I’ve been assuming there was some kind of AI foolishness going on

Turns out that the way AI is going to torpedo my job is by helping to make real life far more absurd than my absurdist fiction.

I mainly just like that the page title shows up in the post as "Nothing's Ever Really Dead on Steam"

I recently completed #ReturnToMonkeyIsland and I have to say I thoroughly loved every second of it and it hit me in the feels at the end. Such a fantastic game and you can very clearly feel the love that went into it. Thank you so much @grumpygamer.com and everyone at @terribletoybox.com ❤️

I didn't think I was going to do a pumpkin this year, but my son wouldn't allow that. So there's a new one up, a little rushy, but still fun:

Now now, there is a simple path from this to good. You just start over from scratch and make a different game, using people this time.
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.

This is insanely bad for anyone doing game development. Who the hell knows what Gaming Copilot is doing with your screen captures, but it almost certainly isn't compliant with your NDA.
If you're using Windows 11, Microsoft is now surveilling you in a new way. This may already be turned on on your computer, and you would not be notified; it activates whenever they detect you are in a "game", which in my experience Microsoft often false-positives on
