For those searching for info (like me), the reconciliation process used for the BBB cannot be used to address discretionary funding, like NIH & NSF. So those continue to operate under the continuing resolution until the next appropriations process, which will begin in July and end in September.

When the March budget passback doc proposed to eliminate the NIDILRR, the disability research community got to work and fought back.

Last week's Presidential Budget Request showed the worst measures had been walked back. #PressureWorks 💪

@dramandar.bsky.social discusses this win in a new article

The Trump fascist slide is happening fast. You want to take action to help stop it. What can you do?

Get people off of Twitter. It’s one of the most powerful things any of us can do. Ask friends and colleagues to close their accounts and move here. 🧪

I realize posting this here is preaching to the choir. But after the Grok White Genocide thing & Ye essentially launching an exclusive Neo Nazi single on the platform... I felt motivated to write about X and how bizarre it is that so many people (news outlets, celebrities, politicians) use it
What Are People Still Doing on X?

Unpopular opinion: I’ve signed a few of these open letters, but frankly, that is not enough.

Faculty need to organize AND unionize. I began my #ProfessorLife in a union shop (Wayne State) & I’m now in AAUP-AFT’s at large chapter.

Best time to unionize was yesterday. Second best is today.

Our university’s NIH CTSA (Clinical and Translational Science Award) was just cancelled for having some keywords that just mean it will serve ALL people in Utah. This funds research that moves discovery science into clinical therapies. This is literally the mandate of the NIH! 😰 🧪

We need to organize--let’s help each other.

NIH is cancelling grants, but it's not clear exactly what they're cancelling and why. Without this information, we can't respond.

I've started a Google Sheet to track grant cancellations.

Please add any canceled grants you know of and spread the word!

That is who your small/no endowment schools disproportionately serve
