I'm a terrible plant parent, so always pleased to discover plants that reward terrible plant parenting. Like amaryllis, apparently! Behold the amaryllis that was watered once over xmas 2024 but flowered twice, then got entirely ignored over the summer, then watered twice over the last couple weeks.

Finally watched The Green Knight!
I liked it! It was beautiful and Dev Patel was doing an excellent job. I'm a little bit undecided on whether I wanted it to do more than it did with the question of at what point virtue becomes stupidity, but eh. It's a minor point 😂 Great movie, do recommend!

Finally watched The Green Knight!

Managed to be Done With Stuff before Christmas Eve! There were a few hours there where I was gonna leave wrapping presents for the morning of the 24th but nope, presents have been wrapped. Tree is decorated, living room is clean... I'm probably jinxing myself 😂

Went to the Bauhaus museum in Weimar today and learned that Bauhaus was a lot more than flat-roofed architecture and squares in primary colors. Which I sort of knew but then whenever I heard Bauhaus, all I could think of was flat roofs & brightly colored squares.
Anyway,it was very interesting!

One more post then I'll shut up: the thing I'm pissed off abt is that they're ruining my chance to work with rly cool & smart ppl. There's so many ppl at this company who *get* it, and if they don't get it entirely, they would with another tiny nudge. But no, best not, reality's too uncomfortable 😭
But hey, I've been horrible goose-ing since I started at this place, maybe I'll just tell them exactly that tomorrow and see how they react 😂 I've got another job lined up, after all. Probably 😬

There have been altogether too many things today (work, unexpected chores, expected chores, complicated msgs from family, uncomplicated msgs from family that still need a reply) so thank you food delivery ppl for alleviating the constant annoyance of having to feed myself on days like this 🫠

I don't allow upload of my photos. A bit ago, the app ran me thru an obstacle course of "are you sure you don't want to upload". Just now, it sent me another prompt asking if I want to make a hidden folder for "sensitive pics".
It's cat photos, Google. Almost exclusively. You still can't have them!
