Some lessons from #Willows as we navigate a period of major fear and uncertainty for a lot of us. I’ve learned a lot from Willows, but what inspires me most about them is their ability to grow through adversity.

As always, please take care of yourself and each other. ✊🏻💙🌌🐢🍉
With the way Epstein survivors have risked their lives speaking out, and this administration saying they need to redact files in order to “protect the victims,” I’m beginning to think the rich and powerful see themselves as the victims rather than the children who were brutally taken advantage of.

Got placed on a brief hold on the phone this morning, and the hold music was "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.... whoever picked that song either deserves a raise or to get fired, I'm not sure which 🤣

Do you think Kash knows they don't even view him as American? I feel so bad for this guy in a way.

Kash Patel says the FBI is investigating Signal chats of Minnesotans tracking ICE
On Monday, the FBI director said, “We’re not going after people and infringing on their freedom of speech.” There’s fresh evidence to the contrary.

A lot can happen in ~3 years. If words have power, read this like tactical fiction. It's a terrifying story about Democrats losing the 2028 election due to MAGA cultism/authoritarianism on full display. But the story leaves out one critical component:

WE, THE PEOPLE

I'm obsessed with some of these remixes of "This Land is Your Land" (the Salsa Brava, Dance, and R&B/Hip-Hop versions). hate to say that I think these might have been made with AI, but they sound so awesome 😭

Lesson #20: Be as courageous as you can. If none of us is prepared to die for freedom, then all of us will die under tyranny.

There is a battle for our souls, but it is not against flesh and blood. It is against the spiritual forces of Equifax customer support in the earthly realms.

A year ago I began making the switch from macOS to Linux.

Today I released an article documenting my journey, with lots of helpful tips and tricks.

If you've ever considered leaving the walled garden for something more oriented to freedom, there's no year like 2026!

Looking around for more weird birds in my backyard to entertain the masses: fuck it here’s a pigeon with a fancy hat

The Portland Frog army has now infiltrated Tulsa, OK and they’ve made an unlikely alliance with the T-Rex infantry and Sharks on Hoverboards mercenary forces.

This is truly terrifying.

I helped update the guide for installing Affinity Studio apps w/ Wine on Linux. There's a lot of energy behind this right now. + Serif just made the announcement "Creative Freedom Is Coming" on Oct 30. Betting now that this will involve support for Linux github.com/seapear/Affi...

This is a fascinating story: SEGM commissioned systematic reviews on gender affirming care, claimed they showed care should be banned, so the authors have released this statement saying their research is being misused and that it is unconscionable to ban gender affirming care:

For alternatives to Google Forms, Fillout is really good! HeyForm also seems like a decent option but I haven't really tested it yet. It's little things like this that make de-Googling not only possible, but exciting. I can do so much more with Fillout than I was ever able to do with Google Forms.

Phone screen and back glass broke because of a drop. When I was replacing the screen, I accidentally tore the front camera's connector (it's a cheap fix but I don't really want to replace it right now). So I patched up the back with black gaff tape and glued a makeup mirror over it. Kind of a vibe!

BOSS: Hey, we just got these new decals in, can you post them up on the wall?

EMPLOYEE: Sure, I'll go do that

Israel has bombed and killed innocent people relentlessly for almost two years now. Shouldn't that be enough for the whole world to turn against it? Yet here in hell, many still support it as a nation "defending itself." Try telling that to the civilians who have found themselves running from bombs.
