I would like to support various creators monetarily. But lots of monthly charges across multiple platforms is not something I'm willing to do.

I'm going to research a platform that takes in a single donation, monthly or yearly, and allows you spilt it across multiple creators. I've got ideas...

Doing websocket stuff to make Club Penguin /Habbo Hotel style browser game. The "theme" is that this is world where all those games came to die.... but not in a depressing way.

A little weekend side-project: Using Laravel + Reverb to power a browser-based, multi-player game... like Club Penguin or Habbo Hotel.

I've got multiple characters on screen, and tracks position... but they teleport instead of smooth movements. Not a bad start tho

I wish all the people I follow on Patreon would toggle on annual subscriptions. I much prefer one payment a year.

Brewster McCloud (Houston) and Slacker (Austin).

Rushmore was filmed in Houston, but it wasn't really like a "character"... It could've been shot anywhere.
The three greatest movies based in the cities I've lived in the longest are The Big Lebowski (Los Angeles), Pig (Portland) and the X-Files movie (Dallas).

This toothpaste is both gluten free and vegan. As opposed to Crest, which is chock full of wheat and beef.

Thoroughly enjoyed this episode.

I have a sneaking suspicion the President of the United States isn't being totally honest with us.

There are a lot of Chrome extensions that save your browser tabs, but I just wanted a simple thing that puts them in a searchable list. chromewebstore.google.com/detail/brows...

The Spanish word "ir" gets conjugated as "voy/vas/va/vamos". 🤷

Weird how I find out news in 2025.

Ace was my guy as a kid. Others were into Gene because of the blood and fire (admittedly pretty cool), but I wanted the Les Paul with glowing pickup and smoke, and fireworks shooting out the head. I believe he was my Halloween costume more then once.
I guess we all knew that both Susan Stamberg and Ace Frehley wouldn’t want to live in this mixed up world without the other.

I've been researching all this government nonsense, and I think I found a pretty big red flag : ederflag.com/cdn/shop/fil...

Just finished the audiobook. The narrator's choice of accents was... interesting.

Pretty much the entire book was me listening to a chapter, pausing, going on Spotify /YouTube to follow along.

The Cars biography is so good.

Kind of sad they basically broke up because the bass player's solo record was more popular than the songwriter's.

My favorite kind of YouTube commenter: The one who watches a concert of a band/artist and comments with the song titles and timestamps.

Unsung heroes.

Generational divide example:

As a child, I wondered where Rogers was before coming home, why did he only stay for 30 minutes, and where did he go to after? My folks sighed and ignored it.

When my kid asked a similar question, we developed an elaborate back story...
I think anyone who saw the episode where Mr. Rogers explains the Trolley Problem has it seared in their memory forever.
So much violence, depictions of gore we never thought possible in puppetry.
We wept, we screamed, we were scarred.
Still, it was educational.
So that’s good.
I guess.

Sometimes I think "this podcaster I listen to/follow would enjoy this book"... and that seems weird.

Is it weird to tag them and say "you might enjoy this!"

Happy 10-4.
Your new trucker handle for use on CB radio is the size of the first place you lived in without parents, the last meat you ate, and the thing you most recently saw out of a window.

Weird things that I still think about: A pop song correspondence where Lorde insults a KC minor league baseball team. Jim Gaffigan was the guest.
