I spoke to @cohenjon.bsky.social yesterday about the great H5N1 ostrich cull. The biggest tragedy of is that it could have been avoided if the farm owners had responsibly enacted basic biosecurity & followed CFIA guidance for exemption.

It really sucks that the black box on estrogen is finally getting dropped. A big win for science and women! But the people backing it are terrible medical spokespeople. Not everything they believe is wrong, but enough things are, which makes people skeptical of this decision.

The difference, though, is that the economy now under Trump is getting worse, inflation is increasing, job growth is happening, etc. The puzzle about Biden was that the economy was actually good & everyone thought it was terrible:

The Finance Minister (in Canada) does not interview well. The Libs need some help in this area. So many just repeat talking points and don't sound human. Regardless of what one thinks about the new budget, it's clear they need to hire someone to help them in interviews.
