New ferry boarding procedures start Monday, Nov. 3.

1. Passengers are now asked to enter the waiting area single file. This simple change will help keep everyone safer during boarding.

2. Let staff know if you or someone in your group may need extra assistance in the case of an emergency.

Stop Barrington St At Scotia Square Bay 4 (6108) will be closed from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025. Passengers on Routes 7A, 182, 183, 185, 186, 192, 194, 196, 320, 330, and 370 are directed to Stop Barrington St Before Duke St Bay 5 (6107).

On Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, Halifax Transit buses and the Alderney Ferry will be operating on holiday schedules. Woodside Ferry will not be operating.

Please be advised that there will be construction at Micmac Terminal from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

There will be no impact to bus operations, crosswalks, or movement within the terminal.

The MacKay Bridge will be closed from Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. until Monday, Oct 27. at 5:30 a.m. for scheduled maintenance work.

During this time, Alderney Ferry service will be free courtesy of Halifax Harbour Bridges.

Woodside Ferry service is running on a 30 min schedule until further notice, due to maintenance. Ferries will depart Woodside at xx:07 & xx:37. Ferries will depart Halifax at xx:22 & xx:52. Alderney Ferry service is not impacted at this time. Shuttles will be provided.

Alderney Ferry service is running on a 30 min schedule until further notice, due to a staffing issue. Ferries will depart Alderney at 14:15 & 14:45. Ferries will depart Water Street Terminal at 14:30 & 15:00. Alderney Ferry service is not impacted at this time. A shuttle will be provided.
