When i was reading The Priory of the Orange Tree, sometimes i would forget who the characters were but i would say to myself “it’s okay, i’ll remember who they are as i read 😁😁😁”. Turns out there’s a character index at the end of the book. I didn’t know about it until i finished the book.

They are just disappearing people off the street. Having a hard time thinking about literally anything else.
Not sure if this has been shared here yet, but this is video of Rumeysa Ozturk's arrest posted by WCVB. It's terrifying.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

As the U.S. shifts into a volatile political landscape targeting critical thinking, I want to share an important reminder to the #booksky community:

The only way to preserve literature is by collecting physical copies.

I know, Kindle users, it sucks—but your digital copy can be deleted any time.

Now, when Trump swoops in and tries to “save TikTok,” I hope you all remember that he’s also the one that started talks of this ban in the first place.
