In case there was any doubt about where big tech stands.
Google is hosting a CBP app that uses facial recognition to identify immigrants, while simultaneously removing apps that report the location of ICE officials because Google sees ICE as a vulnerable group. “Big tech has made their choice.”

Dear President Zelensky:

If you offer to sell parts of Ukraine directly to Trump, he would love that.

And then when we get rid of his criminal ass, we could give it back to you?

Just a thought.

He’s that level of corrupt, as you well know.

Trump is privately warning GOP senators that if Democrats ever eliminate the filibuster, they’ll add D.C. and Puerto Rico as states and expand the Supreme Court.

Then comes the kicker: “But if you do what I say, they’ll most likely never attain power.”

It’s a cult, ruled by fear, not ideas.

Record-breaking retirements in Congress. That’s not “frustration,” that’s people seeing the building on fire and heading for the exits.

Expect more retirements in January.

Next year's artists signed contracts to perform at "The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts." Since a venue with that name no longer exists, and one with a very division name many artists would not wish to be associated with does, they should be able to get out of their contracts.

Context you rarely hear: global stocks are up about 30% over the past year. U.S. stocks? Around 18%. That means American investors underperformed the world by about 12 percentage points, even while headlines called it a “fantastic year.”

Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

Many of us are exhausted having worked to learn the truth of our own history on our own, but also having to learn the history of American white people that most white ppl refuse to learn.

That is partly why when you say “why are you surprised” it’s so annoying. Believe me, we are not surprised!

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Trump ordered airstrikes on ISIS targets in Nigeria, claiming it was about protecting Christians.

But people on the ground say that narrative doesn’t match reality.

“In Jabo, we see Christians as our brothers. We don’t have religious conflicts, so we weren’t expecting this.”
