I wrote a quick thing about AI this morning and I figured I should post it. I didn't edit, but I hope you like it.

More coming.

You just don't understand how AI works, bro
It's been a long couple of years.

Fun with facts! Just FYI the media, LNP, ONP and all the hired goons know this, but are choosing to lie to the public anyway.

Amazing that so many are okay with people who just lie, and think their base is so stupid they'll just go along with it.

Okay, now Home Server is done, I'm almost caught up. Have not looked back and happily on Linux for 6 months. Now to clean up my Obsidian and Zotero for the next non-law school/professional writing/library and lawyer phase. Zettelkasten ftw (but literally hundreds of fleeting notes to sort...)

Trying to think if there is a less appealing way to describe a group of people I wouldn't want to ever be in the same room with.

haha this is funny because Doctorow will be the first to admit it was a fluke, and it is nothing that most tech policy or social scientists or Cyberlaw people etc can't articulate in a far more precise manner.

When he first said was like "shiiiiit, you bastard". haha.

What matters is people care.

I agree. @albomp.bsky.social should call a Royal Commission into antisemitism. Except it's the Governor General who does it, and our media are dishonest. We should look into that.

The good guys have nothing to hide, mate. Go nuts.

Has anyone petitioned parliament to invoke s 44 (i) of the constitution yet with all the Israel hacks?

I gotta be honest, and I can't be the only one

I'm starting to wonder if Kim Jong Un is actually a good guy and North Korea is a socialist paradise

That's how deeply uncredible the United States, its allies and our media are

Americans yet again shocked to learn they are 4% of the world's population, and the other 96% of everyone on the planet hates their fucking guts and resent having US crap inflected on them non-stop #7548935

Unfortunately, however, said crank machine is global.

See X Corp v eSafety (Australia), 3+ years quibbling over “obligations” vs “liabilities”. Or Meta v OAIC re Cambridge Analytica.

Wanna fight? Quit tech, do law school, make no money fighting an army of lawyers for the rest of your days.
So if I had a machine that I turned a crank and it created CSAM materials I don't think people would sit in wonder and consider the ever-unfolding legal complexities of how the crank worked in terms of if people are allowed to crank the CSAM machine

I need to eventually write down what I’ve done but I’m tired and trying to have a break. In theory meantime - start with your own server if you can. Learn Docker.
Given everything happening right now, I updated this article with options for weather apps, web forms, and translation services — along with some tweaks to existing categories.

I hope it helps your transition off US tech!
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!

Imagine selling your soul to the modern day devil, doing all their bidding, and developing the cold dead eyes that only a sociopathic for-sale ghoul willing to coup your own country... and Trump turns around and says "yeah nar, you can't take over".

LMFAO.

I often think about this. See Uber v GoCatch case, where they openly admitted to breaking the law, yet it took till 2024 to even get there (and still 'won').

They *know* what they're doing, and know they can play the long game/wriggle out. At some point criminal charges need to be brought/enforced.
With that being said, Grok and other AI image generators should be destroyed. If we had a just society, it never would have gotten this far.

Complete self-hosting with NextCloud and S3 storage/backups, plus TrueNAS (moved from Proxmox) has been quite the learning curve. But glad to be all set up, and freeeee. Next step is self-hosting website...

Admittedly you kinda have to have skills/endure some friction, but definitely worth it.

I'm on a new regime of drugs.

1. Take on empty stomach, 2 hours no dairy, meat or multivitamins, so no shake

2. Must take in morning with food but Vitamin C stops it working, so no fruit

3. Interacts with 2

4. Can't eat a lot of foods & vitamins for life

lol this is my life
