I don't accept the T & Cs ◦ I know 3 things ◦ Wholly unimpressed ◦ Human-Centred ◦ I write, talk (& joke) about Tech, Policy, Law & Social Impact of Tech.

It feels like the natural conclusion to the fucking bot hellscape of slop-brains, slop-people, and slop-politics of manufactured outrage from the dumbest, most mentally ill people on earth. And bots. Mostly bots.

Here's another, from simpler times. I doubt WaPo would do this now...feels almost quaint.

(I would never say that I became a lawyer because of a song, because I studied politics when he was singing about a guy called Steven, but... yeah, procedure and truth is cool)

*monetise talking about it.

Talk about it, whatever, but if you monetise talking about it, you should have the baseline understanding, and people like me who HAVE studied things their whole lives shouldn't have to spend all our time debunking idiots who get paid to spread nonsense.

Everyone is always so hell-bent on their opnion-having without doing even the most basic of work to understand what they're talking about.

Honestly, I'm on the side of having to be degree-qualified/licensed to be able to talk about politics or law.

Take any issue you care about, and look at the legislative history. Look at when the government reports first came out. Read those. Then look at the several rounds of submissions. Look at the response to those. Then the bill, the committees, the Memoranda.

Then you may comment.

One way to tell that a 'political commentator' or whatever doesn't actually know anything about politics in this country is when they take one stakeholder's opinion and act like there weren't 1000 other opinions. lol

You do know that asbestos companies and tobacco funded studies to undermine policy experts and lawmakers, right?

I know you live in an unserious country, but our policy was widely consulted with experts & stakeholders over a decade. Maybe stick to explaining 6-7 or something.
