The most annoying thing about Bari Weiss is that she'll treat something like it's a radical, dangerous even, new idea and it'll be like an interview with the vice president

Fell down the memory hole but it was also a bad no-call pass interference against the Saints that catapulted the Rams to the Super Bowl in 2018
I know that Puca wasn't there for the Super Bowl but I think it's real fresh of him to talk about refs being against the Rams when they literally fabricated a pass interference call to hand them the win against the Bengals

Fascism has always been compatible with scientific advancement though because bad actors can label groups of people as obstacles in the pursuit of progress. The push for AI adoption, for example, prioritizes profit over literally every human.
It never ceases to blow my mind that so many tech, sci-fi, futurism backers ended up swinging so far right. Did they entirely miss the point of the sci-fi novels? That identity, self, personal exploration is something we can nurture and grow? It's like instead they said, "no we like the dystopia."

They've left immigrants stranded without shelter with this made up policy, it's just a straight up lie
Kristi Noem makes an announcement on Fox & Friends: "We are saying that if you voluntarily want to go home now to your country, if you're in the US illegally, we'll give you $3,000 through the holidays to send you home. We'll buy you a ticket, give you $3,000 to go home."

The more interesting question imo is how many carries behind the Bengals o-line would it take to tear all my CLs
been thinking about that “if you had 10 carries behind an NFL line, could you get a first down” hypothetical

and the trickier question is this: assuming you don’t slide, could you make it through all ten carries without fumbling

It's pretty funny that all of Bari Weiss' ideas are just like bad video podcasts

I don't care what the Kennedy Center's name is but I do care about the lame duck president with three years left on his term putting his name on all the public infrastructure

I do think if we want to combat the dominance of the far right in online spaces we've got to do better to make being left cool again. Like idk get Jalen Hurts on Hasan's stream talking about women's rights

Had the three Dems who voted for this held the line and voted no, they could have blocked it.

Folks, would you believe me if I told you JD Vance was over there railing against the immigrants as the reason for the antisemitism

There's going to be a lot of officiating discourse if the Ravens don't make the playoffs but don't let that distract from the fact that Lamar Jackson has been awful this year

Really burying the lede here putting "aging grids" above "the AI industry fucking consumers"
cnn.com CNN @cnn.com · 26d
Americans nationwide are getting sticker shock when they open their electricity bills.

But the driver of those higher prices isn’t necessarily the cost of electricity, itself. Instead, aging grids and new demand are racking up fees for replacing and updating infrastructure. https://cnn.it/3Mfg6GR
