These hunger strikers were actually on hunger strike for longer than Bobby Sands was before he passed. While it took far too long for the government to act (again) we can take solace in both the success of the strike and the continued presence of such heroes amongst us! Thank you!
They won.
Over two months of struggle and sacrifice have payed an enormous part in pressurising the government to reject the Elbit Systems contract.
