Football, mainly Liverpool FC 🔴
Love the muppets but I watched the first episode of the New Muppet show that Seth Rogan has produced on Disney+ and it was awful. They tried to replicate everything as it was but it was simply not funny at all. Lacked that spontaneity, genuine innovation and zanyness. Also kermit's voice was off.
What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

For months now there is a daily pro-Palestinian protest at the Milan Duomo. Across the square are the TV studios for many of the Olympics broadcasters. Most of the people standing with flags tonight are older Milanese folks who arrive most evenings to draw attention to Gaza.

Salah has now started more Premier League games for Liverpool than Reina. He's fifth on the all-time list, behind only Carragher, Gerrard, Henderson and Hyypiä. 🇪🇬👑

A must win game for both teams.

Jones should not leave, he should be extended. We're already not filling our homegrown quota. It's hard to get goodbye though HG players.

Endo at CB for Qarabag. He's actually won Motm's for us playing at CB, but he's very undercooked with lack of minutes and obviously aging now so lacks pace. Should be enough vs Qarabag (if others do their jobs too) but it'll be an issue in the league.

Poor presser by Slot, not Hodgson level but bad. Trying to lower ambitions. Moaning about things he's been the architect of. Making some rather deluded comments. Looked a bit broken and downbeat. What we and the players need is fighting talk, confidence, belief, a plan etc. Not seeing any of that.

We are in serious risk of not qualifying for the Champions League (I still think we will, even if we don't change the coach). But even with the injuries when you look at the squad we do still have a good chance of FA Cup and an outside chance of Champions League (though improbable with Arne)
If Newcastle win today. They will be on the same points as Liverpool. It's why yesterdays defeat was such a gut punch #lfc

In this unbeaten run since Forest beat us 3-0 at Anfield we've dropped 10 pts to Sunderland, Leeds, Fulham, Arsenal & Burnley. Narrowly beat relegated Wolves & 9 man Spurs. I actually think Burnley game was one of the better performances (particularly 1st half) but it's all rather underwhelming.

A season of bad records this.
Liverpool have failed to win all 3 of their home games against the newly promoted sides in a league season for the first time since 1980-81. #LFC

8 points dropped in the last 4 games, all draws. Arsenal obviously a tough game, but Leeds, Fulham and Burnley are bad results. The performance today wasn't as bad as many performances we've had in this 'unbeaten' run but it's against a certain relegated team at home so it has to be a win.

While Slot threw the Carabao Cup game, especially with his bench selection, I think he'll go considerably stronger in FA Cup as midway through season we're already out of 2 competitions. It's the best chance we have of a trophy. I'd like to see some changes especially Ngumoah.

This is part of the cost of keeping a manager beyond his time, you lose players who can help you and bridges get burnt which didn't need to be.
🚨🔵🔴 Barcelona already informed Marcus Rashford and his camp about desire to keep him beyond this season. No guarantee yet on €30m buy option to be activated, final decision later + based also on financial situation but Barça very happy with Rashy. 🎥 https://youtu.be/HgBSGLXRwXM

Mané to Diaz to Gakpo is a progressive decline in that position we have to correct. Yes Cody was diligent defensively but my word he spoils so many attacks. He's a good squad player, a nice guy I like him but we need to upgrade.

A team that's surpised me almost as much as Sunderland this season has been Brentford. We know the club is very well run, but they lost an iconic manager and a few key players yet they're up in 7th!

We still might. In addition that is to the young Senegalese CB who's going into the academy setup.
Genuinely can’t believe we haven’t signed a CB, though 😕

The only two things Harry Wilson lacked to make a career at LFC were pace and consistency. His ability, technique, attitude, awareness, football IQ, work rate etc etc are all good enough. It's why he's had such a solid career so far and I'm happy for him.

For many many years I've always listened to all pre-match press conferences. It's like an addiction. Slot has cured me of my addiction - I've stopped listening to his pressers. Too much of what he's now saying is either deluded or just dull - I can no longer stomach it.
Sounds terrible this, but I’ve lost interest in what Arne Slot has to say anymore….
Last time I felt like this, a certain Brendan Rodgers was in charge.

Of the dozens of issues LFC have had for many months perhaps the two that anger me the most are the loss of pressing (plus the ineptitude of it when we do try to) and the lack of offensive endeavour. Liverpool should be a front foot team, with intensity. Slot sets up a team with fear of losing.

Liverpool have had a win probability rate of 48% in the Premier League this season. It was 53% during the entirety of 2025. This isn't just a blip. www.patreon.com/posts/147220...

Performance levels are on the floor, but players do have enough individual quality for moments in games which have been enough to get some results. It's just so dull and safe by Slot. Easy opposition but so many draws.

A wins a win but that performance was shockingly bad. Like most of our performances this season.
December 20, 2025 at 9:33 PM
This first half has been terrible so far. Slow, lethargic and nothing in attack apart from that Wirtz shot after the red card.
December 20, 2025 at 6:11 PM
Should've started. That position was perfect for him. Made a difference when he came on.
Florian Wirtz got a lot done in 28 minutes.
