I'd rather they didn't get *too* popular, but every coffee I've had from them (6 so far!) has been world-class. If you get a chance to visit, do it.

As a pilot, I'm well-versed in these "accident chains", and I appreciate the parallel drawn here. I thought this was a well written, level-headed piece that is tethered to the facts here in PDX.

I had some time to kill while the fish market sliced up the coho salmon I'm smoking this weekend, so I walked around and enjoyed a fresh hop beer from a local PDX brewery served out of a small bus. #warzone #hellhole #ultraviolence

It gives me no pleasure to report this, but Portland does indeed seem to be at war. I saw the Navy ship movements with my own eyes. #WarTornPortland

As someone who saw Portland first-hand, this is spot on. There are *absolutely* bad actors in protests, and the media will *absolutely* focus on them to paint the entire peaceful, law-abiding majority as a destructive mob.

News media will always find fires and looting and broken glass and use that to portray the protests as total chaos. If they can’t see fires and broken glass, they just won’t cover the event at all.
