It's because we're all told that we live in a democracy. It's very very very hard to go "oh yeah we vote for stuff and sometimes in some places it is democratic, then at other times in other places the vote doesn't matter and the officials do what they want."
the number of people on here who don't seem to understand that governments apply rules to people, not the other way around is kinda wild considering how many of those same people regularly declare that this is a fascist regime, like it shouldnt be possible to not process both these simultaneously
It fucking destroyed them. There is a direct and explicit link between Twitter suspending Trump and Elon buying them out! The aftermath of that suspension involved at least two Supreme Court cases and countless lawsuits in lower courts, plus multiple Congressional hearings!

Little reminder that it's literally all fake. Money is fake. You work 2,080 hours of every year to wake up on "pay day" and check your phone screen to make sure the numbers went up so you can eat and have a place to sleep. For people like Thiel and Musk, it's especially fake.
