It appears that this sourceless list is being accepted as fact by the community, so I'll run with it. Seeing a deep cut survivor era character like Atlas DeMornay is fun and interesting. I expected that anything confined to DLC's and comics/novels would be scrapped.

The Prime Video series stars Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, led by Phoebe Waller-Bridge serving as creator, writer, executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Chad Hodge as co-showrunner and executive producer.

My view is that they are PROBABLY envisioning a survivor canon with classic/lau inspired events unfolding in that timeline, but I doubt we will get enough explicit references to ever truly clarify this, and it will always be marketed as all eras being

oke so wait i’m watching TR Underworld cutscenes atm and something just got to me… How is unified timeline gonna do the story of her parents? In the survivor games her mom is in a grave under the manor, and her dad is killed by Trinity. 1/?

I think there's been a consistent vision for Lara's face since like 2015, and despite pointing out when they look similar, I think LoA deviates from it for a more classic look. The top 2 photos are shadow concepts released for the 25th anniversary.

As a tech worker, it has not made coding any easier either. Yes, some rote tasks can be quickly done with AI now, and I appreciate that, but we also have the enormous overhead of having to make sure any code/analysis we look at is not AI generated, unreviewed slop that breaks pipelines.
I spoke to a dozen professional concept artists working in games about whether generative AI image tools have made their jobs easier, even if it's just used in "very early ideation stages."
Zero said "yes." Most said it made their job harder.

I kinda want to rant about my frustrations with long term storytelling and how it's negatively affected when there's 50+ writers all working on different components of the plot over the course of years (i.e. Tomb Raider's 'unified' timeline). I absolutely love this progression of combat style, y'all. The newly minted Tomb Raider is ostentatious, having fun, somewhat whimsical. The same woman years later is nothing but hardened effectiveness. A natural progression.

I will have more to say about the anime in the near future. It's not perfect but I thoroughly enjoyed season 2 it and it succeeds at its most critical task. This woman, sitting right here, in this exact scene gave me hardcore "i only play for sport vibes". The survivor became the raider.

Perhaps I'm in a bubble, but it appears that we're seeing near universal excitement for #tombraider. The divide has truly blurred in game and across the fanbase and it's not just the lazy hodgepodge that I feared. I think Crystal Dynamics may have actually done the impossible.
